Yameen has been working in the private practice since the start of his career, predominantly advising clients on corporate and commercial law issues. 

Having worked in highly regarded corporate law firms in the Maldives, which include S&A Lawyers LLP and CTL Strategies LLP, Yameen gained all round experience in advising clients on their inbound investments in the Maldives.

During his time at CTL Strategies, Yameen led the firm’s corporate practice where he advised on a wide variety of corporate and commercial transactions with a specific focus on foreign direct investments and projects, including tourism lease agreements, sale and lease transactions, sector-specific corporate and commercial transactions and reviewing and drafting various types of contracts such as lease, sale, service, management, joint venture, settlement, loan and security agreements. His recent experience also includes working on major hospitality mergers and acquisitions transactions in the Maldives. 

Yameen’s experience in the private practice provides him with an added advantage as to being exposed and having the opportunity to advise on a wide variety of corporate and commercial law issues that clients face or have to deal with in the Maldives jurisdiction.

Yameen holds a Bachelor of Laws, LLB (Hons) from the University of London and is a licensed Notary Public in the Maldives.
